Neurologic Conditions

Neurologic Conditions in Pets

Pets can suffer neurologic disease or injury of the brain, spinal cord or even stroke. This can lead to a loss of function, which depending on severity of disease, results in a variety of problems such as weakness, loss of sensation, vision loss, balance problems, incontinence, and inability to walk. Pets with neurological dysfunction lose muscle mass very quickly which compounds the problem. Our goal is to get return function, regain strength and get the pet back in action.

After a cervical spine injury, Chloe is learning how to regain her balance by using the dyna disc.

All sessions are by appointment only.
Call 417-860-2429 to schedule a session.

Rehab sessions generally last 45 minutes. During this time, we have the patient do a variety of activities as well as pain relieving techniques if needed. We prefer for the pet owner to NOT be in the room during the sessions as this is distracting to the pets in the gym. We need the pet to focus on us to get as much out of their session as possible!

We are happy to take pictures and videos so you can see what your pet is doing in therapy and monitor the progress.

If your schedule won't allow for a specific appointment time, we do offer day boarding for an additional fee. You can drop your pet off on your way to work and pick up later in the day.

Please be on time to take full advantage of your pets' scheduled session!
